After a death: empty your tombstone completely

Died, and everything is lying in your tombstone? Take out absolutely everything, and the game helps you on your way home.

What works

  • Eat first, then run to your tombstone. After a death all your food is gone, and without it you cannot take much.
  • Take everything out of the tombstone until it is empty. Then it vanishes and you get “Corpse run”.
  • With Corpse run, for 50 seconds: you carry 150 more, running and jumping cost only a quarter of the Stamina, and blunt, slashing and piercing blows hit you only half as hard.

What doesn’t

  • Taking only what matters and leaving the rest. Then the tombstone stays, and there is no Corpse run.
  • Running back hungry to the spot where something has only just got you.

Why?

When you die, the game puts everything you were carrying into a tombstone where you fell.

Once the tombstone is completely empty and you have closed it, it vanishes and gives you Corpse run. If a single item is still inside, it stays, and the bonus does not come.

Corpse run lasts 50 seconds. In that time you can carry everything at once and get away faster from where it got you.

Your food is lost when you die; it does not go into the tombstone. So eat something before you set off, or you will have little Health and Stamina.
